The opening is sunny and Mediterranean. Sicilian mandarin — ripened in the southern sun, sweet and slightly bitter in the peel — bursts forth lively and generous, like a day that promises more than you realize at first light. A single ingredient, yet enough to open up the entire space.

The heart brings the reversal — the twist that gives the fragrance its name. Aquatic notes arrive like a sudden change of scenery, from sun to sea, from dry to wet, from warmth to the coolness of a wave that catches you unprepared. Neroli — floral, slightly bitter, with that masculine elegance that few flowers possess — floats above the water like white foam, adding refinement where you expected only freshness.

The base is the most unexpected part of the story. Incense — pure olibanum, sacred and smoky — brings the fragrance down from the sea toward the earth, toward something older and deeper than any landscape.
