The opening is a Mediterranean morning in all its splendour. Lavender and clary sage open up the space with a fresh, herbal aroma, while lemon, bergamot, mandarin and orange build a generous, luminous citrus accord. Neroli adds discreet floral elegance, and tarragon — unexpected and fascinating — introduces an aniseed, herbal note that makes the opening unique, impossible to confuse with anything else.

The heart is complex and masculine in the most refined sense. Pepper and cinnamon add warmth and spice, coriander brings a slightly woody, herbal-spicy aroma, while geranium and violet introduce a green, powdery-elegant floral dimension. Jasmine and rose — flowers with no gender and no age — blend naturally into the accord, adding depth and sensuality without altering the fundamentally masculine character of the fragrance.

The base is legacy. Tobacco — warm, sweetish, undisguised — unfolds over tonka bean with its aroma of sweet hay and almonds, over creamy sandalwood and straight, clean cedar.
